Exchange Discounts

When creating an exchange order, discounts calculated based on item quantity previously took into account items being refunded. They now correctly only count new items being added for exchange to see if the order qualifies for quantity discounts.

Rename State/Provincial Fees
·
Under Settings > Custom Taxes, you can now rename the customer facing title for any of the custom State/Provincial Fees including the Alberta’s Admin Fee, California’s CRV, and the Maine Bottle Bill.

Subscription Shipment Filter

You can now filter subscription shipments by Membership Status and Membership Frequency.

Product Templates
Update·
For custom Collection product templates, we currently have a designer tag to display filters for customers online with options of wine type, varietal, price, and more. A new filter type has been added for “wineVintage”.

Customer Details
Update·
When interacting with orders or reservations, if the customer is a club member, you can now see which club they are in directly from the list page.

Website Date Picker
Update·
The date picker form field (used online for Reservation bookings) has been upgraded to the latest version. This ensures that the technology we use remains up-to-date and secure. The functionality remains the same, but unfortunately, a by-product of the version upgrade means that the date picker will revert to using default styles. Any custom style updates implemented by your designer to the date picker dropdown will be lost. Your designer can learn more about the CSS changes here.

Insights
New Feature·
Insights, formerly known as POS Insights, are no longer in beta. You can now view customer insights on a contact record under the main Overview tab, while creating an order in Admin, and while checking in a guest through the Reservation app – allowing staff to have more effective, personalized conversations with guests. Card calculations have been refined, and we’ve improved performance so that they can be used for customers with more than 100 orders.

AI Features in Beta
New Feature·
In C7 Innovate, we announced that 3 new features are available in Beta on an opt-in basis. View the churn prediction on each club membership, view an order’s fraud score ranked by Amazon’s fraud model, or view wine preferences within the Insights feature generated by an AI agent. MCP Server for Partners
New Feature·
The new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server allows partners to build AI-powered apps more efficiently. It standardizes how data flows between Commerce7, partner apps, and AI systems, making it easier for developers and more scalable for wineries. MCP is currently in beta with select partners.

Reservation Property Map
Update·
When viewing a reservation from the property map, you’ll see a new slideout window, allowing you to view more information about the reservation and customer at once.

Stripe 3D Secure
Update·
Clients using Stripe now have 3D Secure (3DS) enabled for online transactions, only when required by the cardholder’s bank. This is an extra verification step for a one-time passcode that may appear during Checkout or when adding a new card. Previously, if the bank failed to validate the card, the customer would get a decline. Now, they’ll be able to verify their identity and complete the transaction. If the bank doesn’t require additional authentication, you and the customer will not see any changes to the online experience. Pickup Location Titles

When viewing your list of orders, club shipments, and club memberships, if any are set to Pickup, you can now see the Pickup Location Title from the list page.

Sales by Sales Attribute
Update·
In the Sales Summary report, you can find a new “Group by” option for “Sales Attribute”. This will group all of the orders in the selected date range by the selected sales attribute.

Customer Photos
New Feature·
You now have the option to upload a profile photo while adding or editing a customer record.

Email Privacy Policy
Update·
When editing your email theme, you’ll see a new footer setting to link your Privacy Policy in both campaign and transaction emails.

Additional Wine Varietals
Update·
For wines with a type of Rose, varietals options have been added for: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Gamay, Grenache, Mourvedre, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Provence, Sparkling, Syrah, Zinfandel. For wines with a type of Sparking, varietals options have been added for: Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noir, Brut, Brut Rose, Chardonnay, Demi Sec, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Riesling.

Product Taste Profile
New Feature·
Configure the taste profile for your wine products by setting a value of 1 to 5 for Body, Sweetness, Acidity, Tannin, and Fruitiness on the “Advanced” tab. If you’re using the default Commerce7 product template, the values you set will appear for your customers online automatically. If you have made customizations to how your products display on your website, you may need help from a designer to get the new properties to appear.

Australia Receipts

Thermal receipts for Australia now display the ABN at the top under company name along with the words Tax Invoice if GST has been charged. For your ABN to appear, ensure that it is first that entered under Settings > General.

Canadian Taxes
Update·
As some provinces have different requirements for including taxes in the price, based on the type of product, when editing your taxes, you can now set “Tax included in price” for each Tax Type of Wine, Food, Prepared Food, Books, Merchandise, and Freight.

Tag Orders by Discount

When creating a dynamic order tag, you can now select a condition of Coupon or Promotion to automatically tag orders where a specific discount was applied.

Order Reports Filter
Update·
Order Tag is now an available filter in the Order Reports.

Subscription Club Saved Items
New Feature·
You can now allow Subscription Club members to receive the same products every shipment. In your club, set “Allow customers to save products selections” to on. When a customer signs up or edits their shipment, they’ll be able to choose to receive the same product each time. As an Admin, you’ll be able to edit or view their saved products at the bottom of their club membership.

Subscription Club Swap Notification
New Feature·
When swapping an item in a subscription club, you now have the option to notify members who currently have the item selected. The notification will display the original item and the new item and let them know they can edit their shipment if they’re not happy with the change. The email content can be edited under Settings > Emails > Club Subscription Product Swap. Any content with the new can be searched for and edited under Settings > Languages.

Canadian Taxes

In addition to rates for Wine, Food, Merchandise, and Freight, you can now also add rates for Books, and Prepared Food. Once entered, you can then select the new Tax Type on any product under its SKU variant settings.
