Smarter, Faster, Better: What We Highlighted at DTC Wine Symposium

If you didn’t make it to our booth at DTC Wine Symposium (or didn’t get a chance to see everything we shared), here’s a quick recap of the updates we highlighted, from what’s already live in Commerce7 to what we’re building next to help wineries sell smarter, operate more efficiently, and deliver better guest experiences.

AI-Powered Commerce7 Intelligence

Most wineries aren’t short on data, they’re short on early signals. It’s easy to look back and explain what happened. The hard part is spotting risk and opportunity while there’s still time to act.

That’s where Commerce7 Intelligence comes in.

It’s our predictive analytics layer that helps wineries make smarter decisions with less guesswork, surfacing insights like who is likely to churn, who’s likely to buy, and where opportunities or risks are showing up before revenue is impacted.

Here’s what’s available (or coming very soon):

  • Club Churn Prediction (predicting churn risk in the next 30 days with ~84% accuracy)
  • Fraud Prevention, built into the platform
  • Club Signup Prediction, coming next (predicting likelihood to join with ~71% accuracy)

And longer-term, Commerce7 Intelligence is the foundation for what’s next: more automated workflows, smarter upsells, personalization, and deeper predictive insights across marketing, reservations, promotions, and inventory.

Industry leading tools for small wineries: Commerce7 Lite

This past year we also spent a lot of time talking about something we’ve seen consistently across the industry:

Smaller wineries are often stuck between two tough choices:

  • legacy systems they’ve outgrown, or
  • platforms that are affordable, but won’t support them when they scale

We recently introduced Commerce7 Lite to solve that gap.

It’s our entry-level plan for North American wineries under $100K in annual DTC revenue, giving them the core tools they need to run DTC on one platform without paying for functionality they don’t need yet.

Lite includes:

  • POS
  • Ecommerce
  • CRM + campaigns
  • Wine club
  • Reservations
  • WinePulse Analytics

Plus some of our most powerful sales tools like personalizations, cart carrots, subscription clubs and more for $59/month, with zero transaction fees.

It’s the same core Commerce7 engine just without advanced operational complexity like multi-location workflows, corporate orders, restaurant tools, and other features designed for larger operations.

Better reporting for everyone: WinePulse (now included)

WinePulse is now available directly in Commerce7 with single-click access and seamless login.

Since acquiring WinePulse, we’ve been working to embed its reporting into the Commerce7 experience, and the first phase is now live. Every Commerce7 plan (including Lite) includes the core WinePulse package at no additional cost, adding 90+ reports and 14 dashboards across clubs, ecommerce, tasting room, and POS.

And we’re continuing to deepen the integration over time for an even more unified reporting workflow.

Opt-in Data Sharing

Personalization is one of the biggest unlocks in wine DTC but most wineries are still limited to what they can see inside their own four walls.

At the show, we introduced what we’re building around opt-in data sharing: a way for wineries to access shared customer behaviour signals across participating wineries.

It’s designed to help answer questions like:

  • Are they a club member somewhere else? (yes/no)
  • About how many orders do they place per year?
  • How many reservations or carryout orders do they typically make?
  • What’s their approximate annual spend range?
  • Are they local, or visiting?

It’s fully opt-in, meaning wineries can choose whether they want to participate.

The point is simple: more data leads to better hospitality, faster service, and more relevant outreach.

Finally, one of the things we’re most excited about this year is a new resource we’ll be sharing regularly:

Inside Wine DTC is Commerce7’s monthly snapshot series of industry performance metrics, designed to give wineries a quick, digestible update on what’s happening across DTC right now.

Think: trend-spotting, benchmarking, and smarter decision-making without needing to dig through a massive annual report.
